Consumer Outreach Committee
The goal of the Consumer Outreach Committee is to be the conduit between Realtors® and the community by actively engaging in four different areas. The committee will annually demonstrate engagement in the action items below:
- Being the “Voice for Real Estate” ‐ Publicize market statistics and/or real estate trends and issues (e.g., through press releases, interviews, etc.) of MLS statistics, local market statistics, research reports and local/state analysis of real estate data.
- Community Involvement ‐ Advocating the value proposition of using a Realtor® and/or engaging in community activities which reflect a positive image of Realtors®
- Advocacy Efforts – Engaging the public in legislative/political issues that impact real estate and how new legislation can affect consumers.
- Community Investment – Organizing human resources (i.e., assisting in a Habitat for Humanity build, etc.) or fund-raising for the benefit of local charitable/community organizations.
The Consumer Outreach Committee is an important liaison to the public that demonstrates the positive impact GMAR has on our communities and the continued value of using a Realtor® in real estate transactions.
