GMAR Names Michelle Hebert as 2025 Good Neighbor
Michelle Hebert of KW Vermont has been chosen as GMAR’s 2025 recipient of the Good Neighbor Award!Nominees must have contributed to a program that improves the livability of a local community, including but not limited to real estate housing issues, crime prevention, youth mentoring, or homelessness prevention.
Among Michelle’s accomplishments:
- Member of the Barre Housing Task Force, a collaborative group whose goal is to create a community where safe, affordable and stable housing is attainable at every economic level
- GMAR Directors, and Chairperson of the GMAR Membership Committee
- Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity helping build a home for a local teacher
- Service on the Barre Unified Union School District Finance Committee, helping make smart decisions with taxpayer money, ensuring a strong foundation for future students
- Became foster parents with her husband for two children who were later able to reunite with their family, acknowledging that community service is about investing in individual lives.
Raised in Montpelier, and now a 27-year resident of Barre where she and her husband raised their children, became a multi-family property investor/manager, and owned/operated the Graniteville General Store for 15 years. Michelle has been a REALTOR® in central Vermont for nine years.
Rosemary Gingue is GMAR's 2025 REALTOR® of the Year
Green Mountain Association of REALTORS (GMAR) names Rosemary H. Gingue as their 2025 REALTOR of the Year! The Award is presented annually, to a Member who has displayed REALTOR Spirit in their business practices, Community Involvement and REALTOR engagement.
Rosemary is committed to her profession. As the Broker/Owner of Begin Realty, she strives to do right; a “put the shoe on the other foot” approach, having offered practical advice with problem solving/conflict resolution, guided by her experience and the REALTOR Code of Ethics, since 1994, when first licensed. Rosemary is an actively engaged officer of GMAR, currently serving as both Secretary and Director from the NEK Region.
Having lived in St. Johnsbury since she was 9 yrs old, schooled locally, attended Champlain College, fell in love and married a local farmer, Paul, for 48 years this year, and with whom she co-owns the Gingue Farm in Waterford. They have 4 sons, and 10 grandchildren, all of which live nearby, so they can be engaged in each others lives.
A dedicated community member, Rosemary supports local youth activities, mentor programs, NEK Cancer, Meals on Wheels, NEK Food shelf, etc. As Members in both the Elk’s Club and American Legion, Rosemary supports our Veteran troops! She’s also on the Union Bank advisory Board where she has served for 14 years.
