The Economic Impact of Walking/Biking
Vermont Walk/Bike Summit
Walk score, tourism opportunities, and the value of active transportation infrastructure all play an important role in the economic impact of a community. In addition, these factors also have an impact on local residential real estate values.
The Vermont Walk/Bike Summit, which will be held on Friday, April 1 at the Paramount Theatre in Rutland, will center around these economic factors.
“This event is very valuable event for Vermont Realtors®,” said Lisa Meyer, president of the Green Mountain Association of Realtors® (GMAR). GMAR is a major sponsor of the event. Craig Dell Penna, a real estate broker from Northhampton, Mass., will be among the featured presenters. Penna is one of the nation’s most in-demand speakers on the subject of rail trails and their effects on real estate values. Two hours of CE credits will be offered for the 8am-2pm session.
GMAR will have a booth at the event. If GMAR members are interested in participating at the event, please contact Nathan Mastroeni, GMAR secretary, for details.
